International Olympiad Informatics, Egypt 2024
Albert Lin (DP2) wins bronze medal for Team Netherlands at the International Olympiad Informatics (IOI) 2024 hosted in Alexandria, Egypt. The IOI is one of five international science Olympiads and is the biggest high-school programming competition worldwide. This year there were over 360 contestants from 90 countries competing in Egypt. With a total of two contest days, each consisting of three problems with five hours to solve them, It was thoroughly challenging for all the contestants, most of whom have trained for years to make it into the IOI, but also a memorable week visiting historical sites in Egypt.
The Dutch team performed exceptionally this year, winning two bronze medals, one of which was won by Albert. We are very proud to have him in our school!
